In northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Jingpo Lake World Geopark in Mudanjiang is known for its stunning volcanic scenery. In winter, the Diaoshuilou Waterfall freezes into a spectacular 200-meter-long icefall, nearly 30 meters high. Below it, the Heilong Pool remains ice-free thanks to underground hot springs, with rising mist adding a dreamlike touch to the frozen cliffs.

In south China's Guangdong Province, Baishuizhai Scenic Area in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, offers a lush subtropical setting. Home to the Baishui Fairy Waterfall, the largest single-drop waterfall in mainland China, the water plunges an impressive 428.5 meters down Baishui Mountain. The area also features a 9,999-step hiking trail winding through forests, peaks, and scenic viewpoints.
Whether you prefer icy winter spectacles or towering waterfalls amid greenery, these two destinations provide inspiring options for exploring China's diverse natural beauty.
