Tax refund upgrade makes shopping easier in Guangdong
At Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and other ports in Guangdong, eligible travelers can now complete tax refund procedures without unpacking their luggage. Customs officers verify purchases by scanning a QR code. Under the new policy, purchases worth less than 10,000 yuan are subject to random physical inspections, while those worth 10,000 yuan or more still require full inspection.
