Canton Fair enhances its duty-free policy for imported exhibits

The new directive, effective for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period (2026–2030), introduces a pivotal change in how duty-free quotas are calculated. Imported exhibits sold during the fair will continue to benefit from exemptions on import duties, import value-added tax (VAT), and consumption tax, provided they fall within specified quotas.

Most notably, the calculation of these tax-free sales limits has been shifted from an annual basis to a per-session basis. Given that the Canton Fair is held twice a year—in spring and autumn—this adjustment allows exhibitors to utilize their full tax-free allowance for each event. More→

The UAE's aviation sector shows signs of recovery; Flights from Guangdong to the Middle East resumed

National carriers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have restored 44.6 percent of their operating capacity compared to pre-conflict levels, according to the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority. It also advised travellers to follow the latest updates issued by airlines before heading to airports.

According to China Southern Airlines, its Riyadh-Guangzhou service resumed on March 7, and its Shenzhen-Riyadh route resumed on March 10, following recent disruptions to Middle East air travel. More→

An inter-city bus route for cyclists links Shenzhen to Dongguan

The route operates on weekends, connecting Shenzhen's Songpingshan Bus Terminal (松坪山总站) to the west gate of Tongsha Lake Urban Park (同沙湖城市公园) in Dongguan, with key stops including Hi-Tech Park (高新园) metro station and Bao'an Central Hospital (宝安中心医院). The bus departs at 8 am from Shenzhen's Songpingshan Bus Terminal and at 3 pm from Dongguan's Tongsha Lake Urban Park.
