Ballet: Swan Lake
First performed in 1877, Swan Lake is one of the world's most iconic ballets, scored by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It has long been regarded as a classical ballet masterpiece staged across major global venues.
The story follows Princess Odette, who is cursed to turn into a swan by day and regain human form only after dark. Caught between two identities, she represents both beauty and sorrow. When Prince Siegfried falls in love with her, their pure romance is doomed by dark sorcery and cruel fate. A seamless mix of romance, fantasy, and tragedy, the ballet explores eternal themes of love, sacrifice, and destiny. It remains one of the most emotionally powerful works in the ballet repertoire.
Viewers will enjoy refined classical choreography, expressive performances, and world-famous scenes such as the"Dance of the Little Swans." Backed by Tchaikovsky's immortal score, this timeless masterpiece continues to mesmerize audiences over a century after its debut.

Long before the Industrial Revolution, ancient China boasted sophisticated traditions in science, technology, and craftsmanship, which the dance drama Tiangong Kaiwu brings to life onstage.
The Tiangong Kaiwu (The Exploitation of the Works of Nature) is a Chinese encyclopedia detailing agricultural and handicraft techniques in the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644) and considered the world's first comprehensive compilation of pre-modern production technologies. It systematically records traditional craft skills and daily production wisdom across ancient China.
Published in 1637, the book covers a wide range of industries supporting daily life, including agriculture, textile production, mining and metallurgy. It highlights the skill, creativity, and wisdom of ordinary craftsmen and workers.
On stage, the dance drama transforms ancient production scenarios into vivid movement and visual storytelling. Recreating workshops, farmlands and traditional communities brought to life by choreography, it guides audiences to trace the origin of human innovation. Blending history, culture, and performance, it pays tribute to the author and celebrates human ingenuity, showing how great ideas often come from grassroots labor and experience.
