The Guangdong Jiaoling Art Field will launch in Jiaoling County, Meizhou City, South China's Guangdong Province, on September 27, featuring 27 artists presenting new rice-paddy-inspired artworks.
Under the theme "Dialogue with Rice Fields," this event highlights the contributions of two prominent artists: international curator An Xiaotong (based in Paris/Beijing), known for her cross-cultural public art projects, and sculptor Chen Wenling, an honorary academician of the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence (Italy). Chen's iconic "red little man" sculptures and his integration of installation, painting, and community art projects have earned him international acclaim. The initiative aims to showcase a harmonious blend of regional ecology and cultural innovation through artistic expression.
Jiaoling County, a "world longevity village" in northeastern Meizhou at the junction of Guangdong, Fujian, and Jiangxi Provinces, features mountain-river landscapes, Hakka heritage, and selenium-rich agriculture. Blending longevity culture, eco-tourism, and green industries, it offers a serene, health-focused lifestyle as an ideal living and travel destination.
