The 24th China (Yangjiang) International Hardware Knives and Scissors Fair (CKSF) is being held from October 21 to 23 at the Yangjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center (阳江国际会展中心) in south China's Guangdong province. As China's premier event in the hardware and cutlery industry, the fair showcases how Yangjiang is advancing in the global value chain through innovation, branding, and openness.

Yangjiang, known as the "capital of Chinese cutlery," has a hardware and cutlery industry boasting over 8,500 market entities, 25 major enterprises with output values exceeding 100 million yuan each, and an industrial chain worth more than 55 billion yuan. The city now produces about 70% of China's knives and 85% of its exports, reaching over 160 countries and regions worldwide, reflecting its dominant role in the global value chain.

Established in 2002, the CKSF has transformed from a local trade show into an influential international platform. Covering nearly 20,000 square meters and featuring four exhibition halls with 550 booths, this year's fair brings together 213 exhibitors from China and abroad. They include iconic domestic brands such as Shibazi, Wangmazi, and Zhang Xiaoquan, as well as leading companies from Sweden and Japan.

The exhibition is divided into five sections: raw materials, accessories, finished products, brands, and intelligent machinery, presenting the full industrial chain from steelmaking to CNC manufacturing. New materials such as high-nitrogen stainless steel and powder metallurgy steel are on display, alongside smart equipment and automation systems that reflect the city's growing focus on digital transformation.

This year's edition emphasizes cooperation with both traditional buyers from Europe and the U.S. and emerging markets. Business associations from countries including the UAE, Vietnam, New Zealand, and Kyrgyzstan signed trade agreements, opening new trade channels with Yangjiang.

To further strengthen global outreach, ten leading international e-commerce platforms, such as Wildberries, Cdiscount, Jumia, and Amazon, set up on-site booths offering comprehensive services across product selection, logistics, and branding. These initiatives not only facilitate direct connections with buyers worldwide but also help Yangjiang's cutlery industry accelerate its digitally-driven global expansion, effectively bridging traditional and emerging markets.

The fair also features an awards ceremony, new product launches, and salons on new material trends, highlighting the industry's drive toward innovation and sustainability.
