Mucha Symphony: Dream in the Golden Era

繆斯與黃金時代——阿爾豐斯·穆夏真跡世紀回顧展

Mucha Symphony: Dream in the Golden Era is one of the most comprehensive exhibitions of Alphonse Mucha's work ever staged in China. It features over 200 original works by the Czech Art Nouveau master, spanning his iconic Parisian posters to his later large-scale historical paintings.

A highlight of the exhibition is the "Slav Epic", a series of 20 monumental canvases depicting Slavic history, presented in an immersive light-and-shadow installation that lets visitors appreciate their scale and intricate detail.

Alphonse Mucha was a leading figure of Europe's Art Nouveau movement. His work is celebrated for elegant curves, intricate floral patterns, and symbolic female figures. After returning to his native Moravia, he devoted over a decade to the "Slav Epic", a bold narrative series that remains a landmark of Central European art. His influence can still be seen in contemporary design and fashion worldwide.

The exhibition brings together stone carvings, bronzes, ceremonial cups, jewelry, everyday objects, and seals, spanning thousands of years from the Bronze Age to the Hellenistic period and the Sassanian Empire.
