"Excellence in Chaoshan Craftsmanship – Guangdong (Chaozhou) Intangible Cultural Heritage Artworks Exhibition" will open at the Chaozhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 28, showcasing more than 1,300 craft masterpieces from Chaozhou, Shantou, Jieyang, and Meizhou.

In addition to Teochew wood carving, Chaozhou embroidery, and Chaozhou polychrome porcelain, the exhibition will feature craft masterpieces from Shantou, Jieyang, and Meizhou, including mother-of-pearl inlay, paper cutting, Chaoshan inlaid porcelain, clay sculpture, and egg painting from Shantou and Jieyang, as well as Hakka clay sculpture, Hakka silk-wrapped flowers, and paper sculpture from Meizhou. All these works will be presented together at the exhibition.


The exhibition will be held during the 23rd Teochew International Convention and is jointly organized by the arts and crafts associations of the four cities. A jointly compiled volume, Excellence in Chaoshan Craftsmanship – An Overview of Arts and Crafts in Eastern Guangdong, will also be officially released at the event.
The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge starting December 1.
