The 2026 Global Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing and Electronics Expo (AIE) is set to open on December 3, highlighting industrial integration of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, according to information released at a promotional conference held in Hong Kong on July 17.

The 2026 AIE will be held simultaneously in Macao and Zhuhai and run through December 5, continuing its signature "One Expo, Two Cities" model. The event is expected to attract more than 1,000 enterprises and 50,000 professional buyers from around the world and will feature a keynote forum, eight themed exhibition zones, and a series of business matchmaking events.

Officials said the expo will leverage the complementary strengths of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to deepen the integration of industrial, supply, and innovation chains and build an internationally influential platform for intelligent manufacturing and consumer electronics.

Sun Bin, deputy director-general of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, said Guangdong is home to one of the world's leading electronic information industry clusters, while Hong Kong serves as an international trade hub and Macao acts as a platform linking China with Portuguese-speaking countries. By leveraging the unique strengths of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) under the "one country, two systems" framework, the AIE will promote better integration of manufacturing, trade, and innovation resources, providing new opportunities for international business cooperation.

Silas Chu, associate executive director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), said electronic products account for more than 70 percent of Hong Kong's total exports. He noted that the expo will help Hong Kong companies strengthen cooperation with the Greater Bay Area's industrial ecosystem and further expand into international markets.
The expo this year will feature more than 100 global and Chinese debuts of new products and technologies, alongside AI forums, innovation competitions, and targeted business matchmaking events.
Elaine Wong, executive director of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of the Macao SAR (IPIM), said the expo will facilitate project pitching, investment matchmaking, and industrial collaboration, helping accelerate the commercialization of innovation.
