As the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays approach, Guangzhou is preparing for a busy autumn travel season. At Guangzhou K11, a new cultural program is bringing animation, contemporary ceramics and immersive VR experiences to the city.
The autumn program features three South China premieres: Rollin' Wild Holiday, based on the popular European animated short Rollin' Wild; The Little Prince: Call to Adventure, an immersive free-roam VR experience; and Call of the Wild, a contemporary ceramics exhibition featuring works by 15 artists from five countries.

Rollin' Wild Holiday
At the heart of the autumn program is Rollin' Wild Holiday, produced by internationally recognized animation studio Passion Animation Studios. Known for its colorful, balloon-like animal characters, the animation brings a playful touch to the urban landscape.
The project also extends beyond the mall, with themed cycling activities and pop-up events connecting Guangzhou K11 with places including Ersha Island, Dongshankou and Xiguan. The activities invite visitors to explore familiar parts of Guangzhou at a slower pace.

Call of the Wild

Also opening on September 4, Call of the Wild brings together 61 works by artists from five countries, including the United States, Singapore and Iceland. Ceramics are at the heart of the exhibition, while the artists also incorporate materials including lacquer, glass, metal and bamboo. The works range from sculpture and installation to performance art, offering different perspectives on the relationship between people and nature.
Blending traditional Chinese imagery with contemporary approaches, the exhibition reflects the evolving ceramic culture of Jingdezhen, China's porcelain capital, through international artistic exchanges.
The Little Prince: Call to Adventure

Rounding out the program is The Little Prince: Call to Adventure, which brings the world of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's classic story into an immersive VR experience. Visitors can step into the world of the story and explore it from a new perspective.
Together, the three projects offer visitors different ways to experience animation, contemporary art and immersive storytelling during the autumn holiday season.
