The 92nd China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), widely recognized as the global barometer for healthcare trends, will be held for the first time in Guangzhou from September 26 to 29 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, aiming to connect local enterprises with global resources.
The exhibition will feature an "exhibition matrix" formed through multiple sub-shows and side events.
Highlights include a range of innovative medical products such as portable handheld ultrasound devices, AI-assisted diagnostic platforms, and China's first approved orthopedic smart surgery system with navigation and auto-execution functions.
An "International Healthy Lifestyle" pavilion will debut, showcasing over a thousand cutting-edge products, from smart home health solutions and medical aesthetics to traditional Chinese medicine wellness and pet health products in full-lifecycle health management scenarios.
A "Health Life Carnival" will also be held, where visitors can participate in interactive activities like fitness tests, sports rehabilitation experiences, and mental health assessments while gaining firsthand insight into AI applications.
The CMEF in Guangzhou will provide an immersive experience into the future of healthy living, noted one industry insider.
“It serves as a bridge between consumers and industries, marking CMEF's strategic evolution from a professional medical event into an integrated ‘medical + consumer' platform.”
As southern China's gateway to international trade, Guangzhou is home to over 6,500 biomedical and health enterprises, forming a fully integrated ecosystem spanning R&D, manufacturing, and services. This industrial strength provides a solid foundation for hosting CMEF.
This year's CMEF will occupy nearly 160,000 square meters of exhibition space. More than 3,000 enterprises from over 10 countries and regions—including Germany, the United States, Japan, and Singapore—will display tens of thousands of products. The event is expected to attract over 120,000 professional attendees. Nearly 30 regional industrial clusters from provinces including Guangdong will showcase their achievements in medical innovation, manufacturing, and market application.

Additionally, over 60 professional conferences and forums will be held concurrently. A series of sub-brand exhibitions, export regulation seminars, and one-on-one business matchmaking sessions will also be organized to enhance collaboration between exhibitors and international buyers. So far, buyers from more than 130 countries and regions have pre-registered, with a notable 40% increase in participants from Belt and Road partner countries.
Biomedicine is one of the 15 strategic emerging pillar industries in Guangzhou's modern industrial system. In the first half of 2025, Guangzhou's exhibition industry continued to rank second nationwide. The city is currently advancing its "One Industry, One Exhibition" strategy to promote local industries, as remarked by a representative from the Guangzhou Commerce Bureau.
