Six leading cast members from the hit Broadway musical "Six" are set to dazzle Shenzhen audiences with an electrifying concert performance, "Stars Gala: Broadway Queens," backed by a 16-piece live band featuring strings, brass, and percussion.

The lineup includes original Broadway queens, an original swing, and a later lead actress, with collective credits spanning "Les Misérables," "Rent," and "The Great Gatsby."

"Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived." The six wives of Henry VIII may have met tragic fates in the 16th century, but in "Six," they reclaim their stories through a euphoric celebration of 21st-century girl power.

Since its 2017 premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, "Six" has won 26 major awards, including the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score. Written by Cambridge students Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the show draws inspiration from pop icons like Beyoncé, Adele, Rihanna, and Ariana Grande.

The Shenzhen concert will feature Adrianna Hicks, a Grammy and Emmy Award-winning singer-actress recently seen in the Tony-nominated "Some Like It Hot" on Broadway. She has also appeared in "Aladdin" and "The Color Purple." Also in the cast is Keirsten Hodgens, a versatile performer whose credits include "Six," the 50th-anniversary tour of "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Waitress," and "Dreamgirls." The lineup also includes Brennyn Lark, Andrea Macasaet, Brittney Mack, and Samantha Pauly.
