Discover Nansha Wetland Park: Where nature paints a living masterpiece

Nestled in Guangzhou's southernmost Nansha District, the Nansha Wetland Park spans nearly 10,000 mu (approximately 667 hectares), earning its title as Guangzhou's largest coastal mangrove ecosystem with its stunning landscapes.

Upon entering the park, visitors are greeted by a vibrant tapestry of nature. Mangroves stretch like a green wall over the shimmering water, while egrets flutter by, tracing graceful arcs in the air.

Yet the true value of this landscape extends far beyond its beauty, as the area boasts immense ecological significance. It supports over 300 species of higher plants (with mangroves representing 62.5% of the provincial total) and over 200 bird species, including notable species like the White-tailed Eagle and Black-faced Spoonbill, serving as a key flyway stopover along the East Asian—Australasian Flyway. Hundreds of species of fish, insects, benthic organisms, and phytoplankton complete this interconnected web of life.

During the 15th National Games, the wetland park is offering special promotions. Until December 21, visitors can enjoy 20% off admission by showing a Games ticket stub along with a valid ID. Additionally, from October 20 to December 20, athletes, team leaders, coaches, referees, technical officials, and registered journalists can enter for free by presenting their event credentials.
