Originating from Huazhou, Maoming City, Guangdong Province—known as the "Home of Huajuhong (pummelo peel)"—the herb is celebrated for its health benefits. Huajuhong is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine used for respiratory diseases. Following its recent approval as a food-medicine dual-use product, Huajuhong has expanded into innovative consumer goods.
The festival highlighted cross-regional collaboration, with officials from both provinces emphasizing shared opportunities in cultural tourism and agricultural innovation.
As drone light displays illuminated the night, the event underscored how traditional Chinese medicine and contemporary festivities can bridge regional divides, fostering economic and cultural exchange between Guangdong and Sichuan.
