Rapeseed flowers blanket the fields of Shuikou Village in Shaoguan, Guangdong, turning the area into a bright yellow getaway for visitors. The flowers in Wujiang District are in full bloom as winter ends and the Chinese New Year approaches.

The blooming fields have become a social media sensation, attracting visitors eager to capture the perfect shot. On platforms like Xiaohongshu and Douyin, clips proliferate of people posing on rainbow swings or strolling down floral paths. To manage the influx, the village has erected parking signs, while impromptu coffee stalls have sprung up nearby.

For local farmers, the rapeseed serves two roles. It attracts tourists, but it is mainly planted to improve the soil before the annual rice-growing season. Shuikou Village has long been known for its dragon boat culture, but lately it has also begun attracting city visitors for its seasonal scenery.
