On March 20, a folk customs tour of Zhuzi Street kicked off at the Meitao Bay Cultural and Creative Industry Cluster in Chancheng District, Foshan City. The improved festival allows residents and tourists to fully immerse themselves in a carnival filled with fun, food, and souvenirs, showcasing the allure of Lingnan culture.

Zhuzi Street dates back to the Song Dynasty and was the most profitable commercial center of Shiwan Town Subdistrict during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The folk tradition of touring on Zhuzi Street recreates the lively atmosphere of the street during the late Qing and early Republican eras.
Meanwhile, taking the auspicious meaning of the name "Zhuzi" (朱紫), the event prays for abundant good fortune and prosperity in the coming year. The festival delivers trendy experiences and creates an inclusive cultural scene for all ages, expressing people's desires for a better life through an original integration of "folk culture + cultural creativity + market fairs + performances".
