On July 15, an intercity low-altitude air route from Shenzhen to Dong'ao Island in Zhuhai was announced. The first group of passengers got onboard a helicopter, taking off from Shenzhen Shekou Cruise Homeport and landing 25 minutes later at the helipad on Dong'ao Island. The route will officially open for regular service on July 26.
According to the plan, the Shenzhen to Dong'ao Island low-altitude route will operate using Airbus H135 helicopters with a capacity of 6 passengers, offering round-trip weekend flights between Shenzhen and Dong'ao Island. The route is currently priced from RMB 2,580 yuan.
The project is led by Guangdong Feyoda, and passengers can access the latest travel updates and ticketing information through the "Feyoda" WeChat mini-program, also known as the GBA low-altitude travel service platform.
In the next phase, the company plans to introduce another low-altitude route connecting Shenzhen and Hengqin.
