Summer may bring soaring temperatures, but Zhuhai still offers plenty of cool, green places to explore.
Drivers and pedestrians passing beneath an elevated interchange in Zhuhai National High-tech Industrial Development Zone are greeted by one of the city's latest eye-catching sights. Thick ivy covers the bridge piers, creating a wall of greenery and a leafy corridor underneath.
The city is also home to many other peaceful green spaces. Xiangshan Lake Park and Shixi Park offer shady trails and lakeside views, while Xiashan Park is known for its lush bald cypress grove. For a slower pace, Wubian Village or Nazhou Village is recommended, where tree-lined lanes and quiet rural scenery provide a refreshing summer escape.
