As the fishing season gets underway, Beitan Port on the west coast of Suixi County, Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, is bustling with activity.
Fishing boats weave through mangrove-lined waterways and return laden with fresh catches, drawing seafood lovers.
The area becomes an attraction for beachcombers. During the summer holidays, visitors flock to the mudflats to gather clams and crabs and enjoy seafood just hours after being caught.
With more than 900 acres of mangroves, the area also becomes a haven for thousands of migratory birds that gather to forage and breed in autumn and winter.
