Explore Lingnan charm in Foshan's Chancheng this October

Foshan's Chancheng is alive with urban energy and cultural charm. Throughout October, a series of events invites you to discover the district's rich Lingnan heritage alongside the vibrant city life of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Come explore!

Far from being outdated traditions, local folk customs are reimagined as "super folk experiences." The 2026 Foshan Qiuse Festival will kick off on October 23. Its parade will wind through old downtown lanes, presenting the city's 600‑year‑old cultural legacy.

Lingnan Xintiandi's autumn garden fair runs through November. Visitors can enjoy lantern displays, communal feasts and market stalls amid antique‑style alleys. On October 17 and October 18, dozens of teams will compete in lion‑dance contests. The Ancestral Temple's immersive ancient-themed experience will run until October 20. Nearly 1.4 million people visited the Ancestral Temple‑Lingnan Xintiandi precinct over the National Day holiday.

For modern GBA vibes, head to the newly opened MixC World Foshan with almost 400 brands. It drew massive crowds during the holiday, hitting a daily visitor peak of 233,000.
