Meet "Four Little Dinosaurs" in Heyuan this New Year!

Heyuan's city IP, "Four Little Dinosaurs," recently debuted along the Xinfengjiang Golden Waterway (新丰江黄金水道), quickly capturing the attention of locals and visitors, many of whom stopped to take photos with the vibrant dinosaur figures.

As a rare global site that preserves dinosaur eggs, skeletal fossils, and footprint fossils—earning it the title "Hometown of Chinese Dinosaurs"—Heyuan has transformed its rich paleontological resources into popular cultural and tourism products through this new IP.

The "Four Little Dinosaurs" include the Huanghe Yuansaurus, unique to Heyuan, alongside Tyrannosaurus Rex, a sauropod, and Parasaurolophus. This mix highlights local identity while drawing on familiar dinosaur imagery, adding fresh appeal to the city's cultural tourism offerings.

Located in northeastern Guangdong, Heyuan is known for its pristine landscapes, from Wanlv Lake (万绿湖) to its expansive forests. Combined with world-class dinosaur fossils, the city offers a unique blend of nature, science, and culture—making it an ideal New Year getaway with a touch of dinosaur charm.
