Recently, the Guangzhou Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau and the Nansha District Government jointly hosted a signing ceremony to advance investment and financing cooperation for Nansha's Beautiful City construction projects.

At the event, Guangzhou Nansha Assets Operation Group, Nansha Communication Investment, Nansha Development and Construction Group, and the Guangdong Branch of the China Development Bank signed strategic cooperation agreements.

As the first city to receive dedicated support from China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment for its Beautiful City initiative, Guangzhou pioneered a multi-level construction approach—from citywide planning to localized projects—and developed innovative investment and financing models. By September 2025, the city's project database will include 29 key initiatives with a total reserve exceeding 100 billion yuan.

Seizing this momentum, Nansha has formulated a comprehensive three-year action plan, integrating district resources and aligning stakeholders to drive projects focused on green, low-carbon development, ecological livability, safety, health, and smart efficiency. This coordinated effort aims to position Nansha as a leading model of sustainable and beautiful urban development in China.

On September 8, Nansha District was officially admitted into the "Cities With Nature" platform during the 2025 Global Ocean Development Forum held in Qingdao, marking international recognition of its achievements in ecological protection and sustainable development.
