During the Dragon Boat Festival, Jiangmen will host a series of events across its districts and towns. These events will showcase traditional dragon boat races, sprint competitions, and local waterfront culture.
Pengjiang District (蓬江区)
2026 Jiangmen Dragon Boat Races
Time: 08:30-11:30, June 19
Venue: Tiansha River (Hua'an Road to Huasheng Road Section), Tangxia Town (棠下镇天沙河段，华安路-华盛路)
The opening ceremony will take place from 08:30 to 08:50, featuring lion dance and Zhoujia Boxing performances. This will be followed by a parade of 10 traditional dragon boats from 08:50 to 10:00. From 10:00 to 11:30, 12 teams will compete in a 500-meter straight-course race.
Jianghai District (江海区)
Liyue Traditional Dragon Boat Races
Time: 13:00, June 19
Venue: Zhangwei River (Wusi Section), Liyue Subdistrict (礼乐五四张围河)
Eight dragon boat teams will take part in the competition. A dragon boat cultural market featuring handicrafts and local delicacies will be held alongside the races.
Jianghai District Dragon Boat Super League
Time: June 14
Venue: Liyue Dragon Boat Base (礼乐龙舟基地)
The championship final and the third-place playoff will be held.
Waihai Subdistrict Dragon Boat Festival Carnival
Time: June 19
Venue: Hengli River, Waihai Subdistrict (外海横沥河)
The event will feature a parade of nine dragon boats along Hengli River and Zhonglu River from 08:30 to 11:00. In addition, visitors can enjoy a Food Carnival at the open space on the west side of JH WORLD Phase I (江海新天地首开区西侧空地) from 08:30 to 17:30 throughout the day.
Xinhui District (新会区)
Siqian Town Dragon Boat Races
Time: 12:00-16:30, June 19
Venue: Dragon Boat Lake Park, Siqian Town (新会区司前镇龙舟湖公园)
A total of 27 teams will compete across two categories: traditional dragon boat and speed dragon boat. The preliminary races will cover a distance of 1,560 meters, while the final race stretches over 2,080 meters.
Taishan City (台山市)
Shenjing Town 2026 Dragon Boat Festival Cruise & Food Carnival
Time: June 19
Dragon Boat Cruise: 09:00-12:00
Food Market: 09:00-16:00

Food Market: Shenjing Town Cultural and Sports Square (深井镇文化体育广场)
Dragon boats will sail in formation along designated routes, showcasing the charm of local folk traditions.
Kaiping City (开平市)
2026 Kaiping Dragon Boat Festival "Dragon Boat Activity Week"
Time: Kicks off on June 13
Venues: Four main venues (Changsha Subdistrict, Yueshan Town, Shuikou Town and Cangcheng Town), plus Chikan Overseas Chinese Town.
Each venue will host activities that showcase local characteristics, alongside cultural tourism promotions and commercial events.
Heshan City (鹤山市)
2026 Kunzhong Longwan Dragon Boat Invitational, Zhishan Town, Heshan City
Time: 13:00-16:00, June 16
Venue: Kunzhong Dragon Boat Viewing Park (昆中观龙公园)
The competition will take place on a traditional 600-meter race course using Kundian wooden dragon boats (handcrafted from water-resistant ironwood, a centuries-old tradition in Guangdong).
Enping City (恩平市)
2026 Dragon Boat Races, Lantian Village (Hengbei Town)
Time: 14:00, June 19
Venue: Lantian Water Gate, Hengbei Town (横陂镇蓝田水闸)
Four local village teams will compete in a round-robin tournament, with their rankings determined by total points accumulated.
