Zhanjiang emerges as coastal "World' Living Room" for European travelers

Positioned as a rising "World's Living Room," Zhanjiang is attracting growing interest from European travelers, thanks to its coastal charm, rich cultural heritage, and improved international access.

The opening of the Guangzhou–Zhanjiang High-Speed Railway, running at speeds of up to 350km/h, cuts travel time to just 1 hour and 32 minutes. Combined with direct European flights to Guangzhou by airlines such as Air France, Lufthansa, and Aeroflot, visitors can now easily connect via high-speed rail to Zhanjiang.

According to Travel And Tour World, an international tourism media outlet covering global travel trends, tourists from France, Germany, and Russia are driving strong growth in Zhanjiang's inbound tourism market. Russian travelers, once focused on Beijing and Shanghai, are increasingly exploring emerging coastal destinations like Zhanjiang using China's high-speed rail network.

Along the magical 21°N latitude, besides the world-famous seaside paradise of Hawaii, there is also Zhanjiang, which has gained prominence in inbound tourism, ranking among China's top destinations for in-depth international visits.

Improved connectivity and growing international visibility are steadily enhancing Zhanjiang's appeal. With its scenic coastline, rich culture, and distinctive cuisine, the city is emerging as a welcoming hub for global travelers.
