A sea of tulips welcomes spring in Heyuan

On February 10, a 2-hectare (nearly 5-acre) tulip field in Shuibei Village, Daba Town, Heping County of Heyuan City (河源市和平县大坝镇水背村) officially opened to the public, welcoming visitors with a spectacular display of springtime blooms.

A vibrant sea of tulips—in radiant reds, pure whites, and delicate pinks—stretches across the landscape, creating a breathtaking floral panorama that adds a touch of romance to the season.

As the second tulip exhibition hosted in Shuibei Village, this year's event places an enhanced focus on aesthetic design and visitor engagement. Beyond the sweeping tulip fields, the site artfully blends contemporary elements with rustic charm, introducing new attractions such as a cozy wooden cabin café, fluttering colorful prayer flags, and an elevated observation walkway—all offering picturesque moments for guests.

In recent years, Shuibei Village has been steadily enhancing its cultural and tourism appeal. The tulip exhibition not only provides a premium leisure destination for residents and travelers alike but also represents a tangible step toward integrated rural development through cultural and tourism initiatives.
