Guangdong hotel operators launch tourism consumption incentives for China Tourism Day

To celebrate China Tourism Day on May 19, hotel operators in Guangdong rolled out a series of consumer-friendly tourism initiatives aimed at boosting travel spending and expanding leisure options for residents and visitors.

Among them, LN Hospitality (Lingnan Hotel International Management Limited) held a brand partnership and product launch event in Guangzhou, unveiling a range of tourism consumption products under its "LN Club" membership platform.

Tiered offerings priced at 5.19 yuan, 51.9 yuan and 519 yuan were introduced at China Hotel and Dong Fang Hotel, covering accommodation, dining and experience-based services. Other hotels under the group also launched packages for dining, family travel and short-stay leisure. The event also saw the signing of multiple cooperation agreements spanning hotel development, rural revitalization and regional tourism collaboration.

As a Guangdong-based hotel management company, LN Hospitality has expanded its footprint across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other regions in China. The company currently manages more than 1,400 hotels with nearly 110,000 rooms in operation, spanning business hotels, urban lifestyle properties, resorts and serviced apartments. Its membership base exceeds 95 million.

Guangdong's tourism sector has in recent years accelerated its integration with digital technologies and new consumption models. At the event, smart hospitality applications such as AI service robots, self-service check-in systems and intelligent operations were showcased. Cultural innovation elements, including AI-powered sugar painting, smart pottery devices and 3D-printed intangible cultural heritage exhibits, highlighted efforts to integrate technology with traditional culture in tourism experiences.

The company is also expanding cross-sector collaboration by linking hotel services with retail, dining and lifestyle consumption, gradually repositioning hotels as broader cultural and tourism consumption spaces.

Industry observers noted that with Guangzhou hosting the national main venue event for China Tourism Day, Guangdong is further accelerating its shift toward experience-driven and quality-oriented tourism consumption. These initiatives are expected to help unlock domestic tourism demand and strengthen the region's position as a leading tourism destination in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
