Shaoguan in spring: Villages framed by blossoms

Spring brings a gentle charm to Shaoguan, where quiet villages are surrounded by blooming flowers and peaceful countryside views. Here are a few places to enjoy the most beautiful season.

Caojiaowan Village, Qujiang District (韶关市曲江区曹角湾村)

Cherry blossoms brighten the ancient village, their soft pink petals contrasting with weathered bricks and grey-tiled roofs.

Zhouqian Village, Chengnan Town, Shixing County (韶关市始兴县城南镇周前村)

Falling cherry blossoms drift across cobblestone paths, historic arcade buildings, and a quiet pagoda, creating a picturesque spring scene. Visitors can explore the ancient ferry crossing and bluestone alleys, or wear Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) and light-colored outfits for photos. As the blossom season nears its end, visitors are advised to check bloom updates before planning a visit.

Nantang Village, Jiangwei Town, Wengyuan County (韶关市翁源县江尾镇南塘村)

In spring, vast fields of rapeseed flowers spread across the countryside like a golden carpet. Historic buildings rise quietly from the sea of blossoms, blending with the tranquil rural landscape and traditional Hakka architecture.

Xiutian Village, Matou Town, Xinfeng County (韶关市新丰县马头镇秀田村)

Xiutian Village offers another stunning spring scene, with over 26 hectares of rapeseed flowers in full bloom. Visitors can also explore the Ancient Tree Park and Cultural Corridor to learn more about local Hakka culture. Two centuries-old trees stand beside the golden blossoms, creating picture-perfect views.

Spring is brief, but Shaoguan's countryside is now at its most vibrant—an ideal time to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the season.
