The "Guangdong Shopping Map," a digital guide for shopping and dining in Guangdong, released a recommended list of 34 characteristic towns across the province on December 12.

The initiative aims to provide both residents and international visitors with a convenient guide to cultural tourism and specialty shopping in Guangdong.
Launched on Nov. 14, the "Guangdong Shopping Map" helps users easily locate unique local stores and culinary highlights throughout the province.
Following the release of the list of recommended towns, the "Guangdong Shopping Map" will soon be updated to showcase these towns along with their specialty industries and recommended products. Users will be able to browse suggested shops in the towns and pinpoint their locations directly on the digital map.

The selected towns span 14 different cities in Guangdong, each recognized for its leading local industry, featuring electronic products, trendy toys, clothing and apparel, leather goods and luggage, ceramic sanitary ware, jewelry and ornaments, lamps and cutlery, food, tea leaves, dried tangerine peel, lychees, and agarwood.
Representative towns include electronic products in Huaqiangbei Subdistrict of Shenzhen, fashionable furniture in Lecong Town of Foshan, clothing clusters in Humen Town of Dongguan, and the tea industry in Fenghuang Town of Chaozhou, among others.
Since its launch, the "Guangdong Shopping Map" has been upgraded to version 2.0 as of December 12. The updated version now includes information on trade-in programs and nearly 30,000 stores participating in special consumption subsidy campaigns across the province.
Additionally, the updated version allows broader access by scanning its QR code via WeChat, UnionPay App, or Alipay. In addition to previously supported Amap navigation, the updated "Guangdong Shopping Map" now also integrates Tencent Maps and Baidu Maps navigation, allowing users to switch between preferred navigation tools and route directly to their destinations.
