Explore Heyuan: "Lake+" themed route among Guangdong's first five agritourism integration routes

A tourism route in Heyuan, south China's Guangdong Province, centered on the city's Wanlv Lake, has been selected as one of the first five high-quality agritourism integration routes in the province. The announcement was made recently by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province.

The "Lake+" themed route is designed around the Wanlv Lake green development zone. It connects several major attractions within Heyuan, including the Heping Hot Spring tourism area, Wanlv Lake itself, Chunmuyuan Town, and the Heyuan Dinosaur Museum.

The route extends beyond the city to link with the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site of Danxia Mountain in Shaoguan, offering a blend of ecological sightseeing, wellness retreats, dinosaur-themed education, and cultural heritage tours.

This initiative is part of the High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns and Villages to develop five distinct agritourism routes, which also include themes focused on mountain areas, coastal regions, and cultural heritage sites. The program aims to support rural development by integrating agriculture with cultural and tourism resources.
