Qingyuan unveils new national AAA-rated tourist attraction

Xiajing Xiaohuashan Scenic Area (下迳小华山景区) in Jintan Town, Qingxin District, Qingyuan, Guangdong Province, has officially been designated a national AAA-rated tourist attraction.

Nestled amid karst peaks, this scenic area has become a popular destination for weekend getaways and short trips among visitors from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The scenic area offers a range of outdoor adventures and leisure experiences, including via ferrata climbing, mountain hiking, and hot springs. One of its signature attractions is a 380-meter via ferrata route with a 150-meter vertical climbing section. Visitors can also take in panoramic views of the surrounding rice fields and villages from a mountainside boardwalk.

Located in Liujiadong Village, the scenic area has helped transform the once little-known mountain village into a thriving tourism destination. It now generates more than RMB 6 million in annual operating revenue, contributing to local rural revitalization.
