Huizhou coastline guide | Route 2: A picture-perfect coastal escape

In the sweltering summer heat, Huizhou's coastline offers a refreshing escape with clear waters, sandy beaches and beautiful coastal scenery. Whether you are looking for a relaxing family trip, a photogenic getaway or a quiet escape into nature, there is a route to suit every taste.

Picture-Perfect Coastal Route

Wushantou Greenway, Daya Bay (大亚湾乌山头绿道)

Wushantou Greenway stretches about 10 kilometers along the coast, winding between lush green hills and the azure sea, with viewing platforms and photo spots dotted along the way. Park your car and explore the greenway on foot or by bicycle, with breathtaking mountain and sea views around every bend.

"Little Kamakura" Coastal Highway ("小镰仓"海边公路)

Just a 20-minute drive from Wushantou Greenway, this straight seaside road has been dubbed "Huizhou's Little Kamakura" by netizens. Flanked by deep blue sea on one side and minimalist buildings on the other, its white railings, signposts and coastal lighthouse provide picture-perfect backdrops.

Lover's Dyke (情人堤)

Extending far out to sea, Lover's Dyke is a signature sunset viewing spot in Xunliao Bay. As the sun sets, the warm golden light bathes the sky, sea and causeway, creating a picture-perfect coastal scene.

Sunrise Dongshan Reef Bar (礁石酒吧)

The final stop is this popular cliffside bar, a 15-minute drive from the coastal boardwalk at Sea Turtle Bay (海龟湾). Built around Shuangyue Bay's natural reefs, the bar blends seamlessly into the coastal terrain, providing a striking backdrop for photos by day and a different atmosphere at night.

Stay tuned for the next route, taking you off the beaten path to Huizhou's quieter coastal gems and unspoiled natural escapes.
