China launches visa-free travel with more countries

China and Malaysia will implement a mutual visa-free policy agreement from July 17, according to a CCTV report. 

The mutual visa exemption agreement between China and Azerbaijan took effect Wednesday, followed by the agreement between China and the Federated States of Micronesia, which will come into force on July 25, according to CCTV.

Qunar launches English version for international travelers

On Tuesday, online travel platform Qunar.com announced the launch of its English version website, providing users with English booking services for hotels, air tickets, trains and vacation products.

The company said that the launch of the English version is due to the explosive growth of inbound tourism.

According to Qunar.com, in the first half of this year, the number of domestic flights booked via the platform using non-Chinese passports increased by about 30 percent year-on-year, and last year it increased by 1.8 times compared to 2023.

Japan, South Korea and Vietnam are the top three source markets for inbound tourism in the first half of this year, Qunar.com said. 

Biman Bangladesh Airlines adds Guangzhou flight

Biman Bangladesh Airlines will increase the frequency of its Guangzhou-Dhaka route starting July 25, 2025, boosting service from two to three weekly flights.

The new schedule includes departures from Dhaka every Monday, Thursday, and Friday at 21:45 (local time), arriving in Guangzhou at 03:30 the next day. Return flights leave Guangzhou every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 04:30, arriving in Dhaka at 06:25. Each flight takes approximately four hours.

Founded in 1972, Biman Bangladesh Airlines is the country's national carrier. Its fleet of 21 aircraft, including Boeing 737s and 787s, serves 22 international and 7 domestic destinations across Asia and Europe.

Ferry services added between Guangzhou and Hong Kong

Nansha Passenger Port has increased its daily ferry services from the original 4 roundtrips to 6, starting from July 15. This expansion provides travelers between Nansha and Hong Kong, as well as those transiting through Hong Kong International Airport to global destinations, with more flexibility, further facilitating business, trade, and personnel exchanges among Guangzhou and Hong Kong, as well as international destinations.
