In midsummer, vast lotus ponds in Yihe Town (义合镇) in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, are now dotted with pink and white blooms.
Along the rural paths, a light, refreshing fragrance greets visitors. In the breeze, broad green leaves rustle and graceful blossoms seem to nod gently above the water. The tranquil scenery comes alive as ducks splash in the ponds and dart playfully between lotus leaves, drawing visitors to stop and take photos.
As lotus flowers bloom year after year, life in Yihe Town continues to flourish alongside the vibrant ecosystem of its quiet ponds.
