Lotus flowers are now in full bloom across Zhongshan, adding vibrant color to the city's parks, wetlands, and historic villages. From the Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen to Deneng Lake Park, scenic spots across the city invite visitors to enjoy one of summer's most iconic floral displays.

The Museum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen (孙中山故居纪念馆)

In summer, the museum's lotus ponds are bursting into full bloom. The Zhongshan Hongtai lotus is the only lotus cultivar in China named after both a person and a place, and it is included in Lotus Flower Cultivars in China.

Zimaling Park (紫马岭公园)

At Zimaling Park, a sea of lotus flowers is in bloom, offering a refreshing summer scene amid the season's heat.

Dongming Bridge Aquatic Plant Park (东明桥水生植物公园)

About 8,500 square meters of the park's lake surface are covered with "Zhongshan lotus," a cultivar developed from local wild white lotus. Its pure white blossoms stand out against broad green leaves.

Qijiang Park (岐江公园)

Visitors can stroll through the park and enjoy its blend of industrial heritage and waterfront scenery, where history and nature meet in a distinctive urban landscape.

Hesui Wetland Park, Dongfeng Town (东凤和穗湿地公园)

Lotus flowers in different stages, from tightly closed buds to fully opened blooms, dot the wetlands, creating a vivid summer scene.

Houshan Village, Shaxi Town (沙溪镇厚山村)

Set against ancestral halls and traditional Diaolou watchtowers, the lotus fields offer a picturesque glimpse of Lingnan village life.

Deneng Lake Park (得能湖公园)

In June, pink lotus flowers spread across the lake, adding a touch of color to the park's tranquil waters and lush summer scenery.
