Celebrate Chinese New Year in Zhanjiang with over 1,000 events

During the forthcoming Spring Festival, Zhanjiang is serving up a sumptuous cultural tourism feast under the theme "Fresh Zhanjiang". More than 1,000 events span six categories: fine arts performances, public cultural services, intangible cultural heritage (ICH) experiences, scenic attractions, mass sports, and consumption promotions.

One of the highlights is the "ICH Grand Gathering" on the fourth day of the Chinese Lunar Year (February 20) at Zhanjiang Sports Center, where local ICH treasures such as the Diaoshun Net Dragon Dance and Suixi Lion Dance will share the stage with invited Lingnan traditions, including the Chaoshan Yingge Dance and Foshan Wing Chun.

According to Zhanjiang's Spring Festival press conference held on February 6, the city will offer over 160 fine arts performances, more than 200 ICH showcases, and upwards of 400 mass sporting events during the holiday. Tangible discounts include half-price admission to Huguangyan Scenic Area and 50% off tickets to the Military Expo Park via OTA platforms.

The commerce authorities have rolled out a powerful incentive package: trade-in subsidies of up to 20,000 yuan for automobiles, a five-tier dining coupon program, and ride-hailing discounts in partnership with Didi.
