Guangzhou's largest Ferris wheel to open August 1

Guangzhou's largest Ferris wheel will open to the public on August 1 at Guangzhou Sunac Land in Huadu District, offering panoramic views of Huadu and its surrounding urban landscape.

The wheel stands 103 meters tall and is named Hua Hao Yue Yuan (花好月圆), a traditional Chinese expression for happiness and reunion that literally means "flowers in bloom and a full moon."

It has 42 fully enclosed capsules, each seating up to eight passengers, and one rotation takes about 20 minutes.

To mark the opening, the attraction will stage a light show on the evening of August 1. A rock music party will also be held on the lawn beneath the wheel.
