Spring is in full bloom in March, and Lechang City in Shaoguan welcomes one of its most enchanting seasons of the year. A scenic route linking lush forests, vibrant flower fields and riverside views has become a favorite among visitors eager to experience the beauty of spring.
Xiangzhang Forest Park, Beixiang Town (北乡镇香樟森林公园)
The park is known for its well-preserved natural ecology. Walking through the forest, visitors are surrounded by the refreshing scent of camphor trees and crisp mountain air rich in negative ions, making it a true natural oxygen bar. Hidden among the trees are a charming campsite and a treehouse café, where every corner feels like a scene from a Hayao Miyazaki animation.
Peach & Plum Blossom Sea, Jiufeng Town (九峰镇桃李花海)
Each March, Jiufeng Mountain bursts into color as pink peach blossoms, snow-white plum blossoms and golden rapeseed flowers bloom together across the hillsides. This year, several new interactive areas have been added to enrich the visitor experience, and admission to the blossom sea, is free.
Rainbow Walkway, Liangjiang Town (两江镇彩虹步道)
In nearby Liangjiang Town, a two-kilometer rainbow walkway winds along the river. Houses on both banks are painted in bright colors, while the railings feature a vibrant gradient design. After nightfall, soft lighting transforms the walkway into a dreamy riverside promenade.
From forest trails to seas of blossoms and colorful riverside paths, Lechang's spring route invites visitors to experience the season at its finest.
