Danxia Impression · Mifeng Homestay (丹霞印象·蜜峰民宿), located at the foot of Jiufeng Mountain in Shaoguan, northern Guangdong, has been designated as the city's first national A-grade tourist homestay, according to a list released by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism on January 26.
The homestay was among 81 properties nationwide awarded the top A-grade rating in 2025, placing it among China's highest-quality boutique accommodations.
Converted from a former school building, the homestay features contemporary design, soft neutral tones, and thoughtfully arranged spaces for rest and reflection. Guests can enjoy tea rooms, audio-visual lounges, and shared areas that create a calm, retreat-like atmosphere.
In addition to accommodation, the homestay offers hands-on cultural activities such as plant dyeing, traditional handicrafts, pottery, and floral arrangement. A rooftop viewing deck provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, where guests can watch the stars at night and the mist-shrouded sunrise in the early morning, enhancing its appeal as a year-round cultural and leisure destination in northern Guangdong.
