Guangji Bridge, a nearly 900-year-old architectural landmark in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, now offers regular nighttime cultural events. Against the backdrop of the illuminated ancient structure, visitors can immerse themselves in traditional Chaozhou culture.

The intangible cultural heritage night show provides a rich cultural experience. Vibrant Yingge dancers captivate the audience with spirited performances. They wear traditional makeup and even invite tourists to have their faces painted—creating memorable photo opportunities. In dedicated seating areas on the bridge, guests can also savor Phoenix Dancong tea, a variety of oolong central to the Chaozhou gongfu tea ceremony, while enjoying the atmosphere.
Initially trialed during the National Day holiday in October 2025, the program has proven so popular that it is now a permanent weekend feature.

One visitor from Zhongshan, Mr. He, shared his enthusiasm: "We'd visited the bridge before, but we returned specifically for the night show. The interactive elements were fantastic—it made learning about local culture fun and engaging."
More than just a light show, the initiative aims to transform nighttime tourism from passive sightseeing into an immersive cultural experience. As a special touch, each guest receives a complimentary "Fulou Monkey" souvenir, a small token of Chaozhou's heritage to take home.
