On Jan 24, Nanyue Ancient Post Road Relic Park in Tiaofeng Village, Lingbei Town of Suixi County, Zhanjiang City, opened with festive lion dances and gongs, breathing new life into the millennium-old post road.
Also known as Tiaofeng Ancient Road, it was shortlisted for Guangdong's Top 100 New Discoveries in the 3rd National Cultural Relics Survey in 2011. Its 40-meter-long ruts, 64 cm deep and 1.6 m wide, carved into basalt by years of carriages, stand as a living historical record by the Yixi River.

The park is part of a 170 million-yuan cultural tourism project, Suixi's first EPC+O cultural tourism program, and a demonstration project for Zhanjiang's ancient post road protection. The project includes three core zones to boost rural development, with the park serving as a cultural experience base featuring service centers, art fields, and historical landscapes.
Visitors can enjoy coffee, buy lion dance souvenirs, and take in the natural scenery here. The park also has spaces for cultural events and boasts sites like Dongpo Well, a witness to the footsteps of Su Shi and other literati, offering a time-traveling cultural journey for all.
