On October 19, the first phase of the 138th Canton Fair concluded in Guangzhou. Focusing on advanced manufacturing, the fair attracted a total of 157,946 offline overseas buyers from 222 countries and regions worldwide, representing a 6.3% increase compared to the previous edition.
This edition of the Fair presented a trade feast for global buyers, where new quality productive forces and intelligent manufacturing shone together, marked by the number of high-quality enterprises exceeding 10,000 for the first time and the inaugural use of AI-powered exhibition tours.
The first phase of the 138th Canton Fair featured over 25,000 booths and approximately 12,000 exhibiting enterprises. Covering a total exhibition area of 520,000 square meters, the products showcased in the first phase spanned five major sectors—electronics and household appliances, industrial manufacturing, lighting and electrical equipment, hardware and tools, and vehicles and two-wheelers—comprising 19 exhibition categories. This highlighted the vibrant interplay between new quality productive forces and smart manufacturing for global buyers.
Next, the second phase of the 138th Canton Fair is scheduled to run from October 23 to October 27.
