After a rain-soaked Qingming holiday weekend, Guangdong is finally seeing a noticeblae drop in rainfall starting April 7. According to the provincial meteorological department, precipitation will notably ease across most areas, giving way to improved weather conditions.

With the rain subsiding, attention is now shifting to rising temperatures. On the final day of the holiday, Xuwei in Zhanjiang recorded the province's highest temperature at 36.1°C, while the lowest readings hovered around 20.1°C in Shixing, Renhua, and Lechang, all in northern Guangdong. As skies clear up, forecasters predict a warming trend to set in across the region.
Weather outlook:
- April 8: Northern Guangdong and the northern Pearl River Delta will see cloudy skies with scattered (thunder) showers. Other areas will be mostly cloudy to sunny, with light fog in the morning and evening. Daytime highs are expected to reach 34–36°C in the Leizhou Peninsula, 30–34°C in western Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta, and 26–30°C elsewhere.
- April 9: Most areas of the province will be cloudy to sunny. Highs will range from 34–36°C in the Leizhou Peninsula, 31–34°C in western Guangdong and the western Pearl River Delta, and 28–30°C in other areas.

Guangzhou forecast:
- April 8: Cloudy to overcast with scattered (thunder) showers and light fog in the morning and evening; 23–28°C.
- April 9: Cloudy; 24–31°C.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions as temperatures climb, particularly in the western and southern parts of the province.
