As of 17:00, five cities in Guangdong, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chaozhou, Shanwei, and Jieyang, have announced the lifting of their respective "five suspensions" measures.
Guangzhou has decided to lift the citywide "five suspensions" measures (suspension of classes, work, production, transportation, and business operations) effective from 6:00 p.m. on September 24. All districts, various industries, and the public are urged to resume normal production and daily life in an orderly manner while ensuring safety.
It is important to note that operations for fishing vessels and maritime (waterborne) construction will not resume immediately; the specific resumption time will be announced by the competent authorities separately. Furthermore, individuals who were relocated from dangerous areas, such as low-lying zones, landslide-prone slopes, and old or unsafe buildings, are advised to continue cooperating with government management and should not return until safety is confirmed.
The Shenzhen Municipal Government announced today the lifting of the "five suspensions" emergency measures, effective from 4:00 p.m. This decision follows the weakening and departure of Typhoon Ragasa from the area and the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory downgrading the typhoon red warning signal.
Chaozhou implemented "four resumptions" (work, production, transport, and business resumption) measures starting from 12:00 p.m. on September 24, with student class resumption subject to further notice from the education department.
Shanwei also decided to lift the citywide "five suspensions" measures in phases from 12:00 p.m. on September 24, allowing for an orderly restoration of production and daily life.
In Jieyang, the "five suspensions" measures were lifted citywide from 3:00 p.m. on September 24 (with exceptions for fishing vessels, fish farms, maritime transport, and construction operation vessels), allowing for an orderly restoration of production and daily life while ensuring safety. All city schools (including secondary vocational schools, kindergartens, nurseries, and training institutions) will begin organized class resumption from September 25. The reopening of expressways will be subject to announcements by the public security department.
