According to the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory, from March 23 to 25, Shaoguan and Qingyuan will experience increased cloud cover and rainfall, while most other areas will enjoy sunny spells with morning and evening mist and marked diurnal temperature variations. Parts of the Pearl River Delta and western Guangdong may experience scattered light rain. Current conditions are not expected to support the onset of the seasonal humid spell, known as "huinantian" in Chinese.

The province is set to enter its flood season in early April. Authorities in Guangzhou forecast that rainfall during the 2026 flood season (April to September) will be close to the 30-year average, with three to four typhoons projected later in the season.
