Heads up, everyone—Guangdong is bracing for another wave of severe weather. According to the provincial meteorological department, from April 28 to 29, a new round of heavy rain and strong convective activity will sweep across the province from west to east.
The storms are expected to bring short-term heavy rainfall, gales of up to force 8 to 10, and frequent lightning. Heavy to torrential rains are forecast, with localized downpours likely in some areas.
The good news is that temperatures will drop slightly during the rain, and the weather system is expected to move through quickly. By April 30, the rain will significantly ease, leaving most of the province with cloudy skies.

On April 28, Qingyuan, Shaoguan, western Guangdong, and most of the Pearl River Delta will see heavy rain and localized storms.
On April 29, the system will move toward the Pearl River Delta, Heyuan, and Meizhou, with heavy to torrential rain expected.
On April 30, most cities and counties across the province will experience cloudy skies, while southern Guangdong will see scattered showers.
