According to the latest information from the National Meteorological Center of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA), a tropical depression in the South China Sea made landfall along the coast of Quảng Trị Province, Vietnam, at around 5:00 p.m. on September 13. At the time of landfall, the maximum wind force near its center was Force 6 (12 m/s), and the minimum central pressure was 1,006 hPa. At 5:00 p.m., its center was located at 17.2°N and 106.9°E, in Quảng Trị Province, Vietnam.
It is expected that the depression will continue to move westward at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour, with its intensity gradually weakening.
The Guangdong Meteorological Service forecasts that on September 14, under the influence of the peripheral cloud system of the tropical depression, western Guangdong and the southern part of the Pearl River Delta will experience moderate to heavy rain, with localized torrential rain. On September 15, the wind and rain will weaken noticeably.

Guangzhou will see moderate thunderstorms, accompanied by locally heavy rain.
September 15 to 16
Guangzhou will still have thundershowers. The scope of thunderstorms will gradually shrink, and temperatures will slowly rise.
The tropical disturbance originally located in the west-central and northern part of the South China Sea developed into a tropical depression on the morning of September 12.
