As the 2026 FIFA World Cup enters its final stage, Canton Tower has launched a football-themed event that offers visitors an immersive way to celebrate the world's biggest sporting tournament. Running from July 9 until the World Cup final, the event features a series of football-inspired displays and interactive activities designed for fans of all ages.
Highlights include an exhibition of signed jerseys from world-renowned football stars and a special display tracing the evolution of official FIFA World Cup match balls, from the T-Model used at the inaugural tournament in 1930 to the official match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, TRIONDA. The display takes visitors on a journey through nearly a century of World Cup history, with each ball reflecting the tournament's evolution and the game's ever-lasting global appeal.

Outside the tower, a World Cup-themed photo backdrop combines football elements with one of Guangzhou's most recognizable landmarks, creating a popular photo spot for visitors. Football fans can also take part in interactive activities, including voting for their favorite teams and predicting the World Cup champion on the first floor of Canton Tower, next to Gate 5. Participants who correctly predict the winner will have the chance to receive exclusive Canton Tower souvenirs.
