Guangzhou is preparing for its 2026 Spring Festival flower markets, a key traditional event celebrating the Chinese New Year. The city will host 11 major flower markets with a total of 2,655 stalls, which is 7.7% more than last year, offering more space for vendors of festive flowers and holiday goods.

The markets will be open for varying durations, from 3 to 6 days, starting on February 10 and running until the early hours of February 17. Among them, the traditional flower markets in the Nansha and Zengcheng districts will operate for 6 days.
A notable new feature this year is a 13-day waterfront flower market in Haizhu District at Canton Tower Square. It will run from February 4 to 16, giving visitors ample time to enjoy the displays.
