Mercato Gourmet, Hong Kong's leading Italian gourmet marketplace founded by chef Gianni Caprioli, will host the second edition of the Maestri del Gusto Italian Food Market on April 18–19 at The Peninsula Hong Kong.
Co-organized with the Italian Trade Agency and the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong, in conjunction with Giornata Nazionale del Made in Italy, the two-day event will transform the hotel's Salisbury Room into a showcase of Italian culinary excellence. Over 30 Italian brands will present signature products including cured meats, truffle specialties, cheeses, pasta, chocolate, and wines.
Visitors can enjoy tastings, live cooking demonstrations, and interactive workshops such as pasta-making, pizza sessions, coffee brewing, and cocktail mixing. Led by renowned chefs—including a 90-year-old Italian nonna—the program highlights both tradition and craftsmanship.
The event celebrates Italy's UNESCO-recognized food culture and offers a rare opportunity to explore, taste, and purchase authentic Italian ingredients directly from producers in an immersive gourmet setting.
