The 2026 Midsummer Music Festival, hosted by the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, kicked off in July and will run through August 22. Registration for the final week's performances will open on August 19.
Performances for the festival's fifth week will be held at Hengqin Rowing Park on August 14 and 15, followed by the final week's shows on August 21 and 22.
Singers have performed a range of musical styles over the past few weeks, including artists from Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking regions.
Five artists from Hong Kong and Macao will take the stage in turn at the closing ceremony on August 22, including Hong Kong singers Jade Kwan and Kelvin Kwan, as well as Macao singer and songwriter Filipe Baptista Tou.
Registration will launch at 11 a.m. on August 19. Admission is free and requires real-name registration. Visitors can sign up via the WeChat official account "Hengqin Minsheng (横琴民生)" or the WeChat mini program "FindMacau (发现澳门)". Those attending the live activities will receive complimentary gifts.
